After their last encounter, Eeteuk thought he would never see Kangin again. He returned Kangin’s jacket back, and Kangin gave back his umbrella. So there should be no reason at all for them to see each other again, right?
Until Cupid decided to play some love game on them that day…
“So my boss decided to give me some day-off.” Eeteuk bit on the steamy fishcake.
“For how many days?” Kangin asked while his mouth stuffed with fishcakes too.
Eeteuk finished the second stick before he answered casually, “For the rest of my life.” Eeteuk reached his pocket for his wallet. “Thanks, omoni.” He paid her and walked away from the stall.
Kangin quickly grabbed a note and paid the ahjumma. “Keep the change.” He ran over to Eeteuk. “Do you want me to help you?”
“What can you do to help me?” Eeteuk sounded unconvinced by Kangin’s offer.
“I can help to find a job for you.” Kangin said confidently. Eeteuk grabbed Kangin’s hands and looked at him in his eyes. “Really? You would do that?” Kangin smiled sheepishly, his cheeks tinted with slightest shade of pink. “Of course I would do that.”
“But why?” Leeteuk was happy, but he was just curious. He just met Kangin only for a few times, yet that man was willing to help him. It’s just weird, right?
“Because I like you.” Those words came out from Kangin’s mouth swiftly as they really were coming from the bottom of his heart. Eeteuk emitted his high-pitch laugh, then said, “I like you too~~ You are a really good friend.” He released Kangin’s hand.
Kangin felt hurt by Leeteuk’s word. ‘So I got rejected.. But not that easy..’ Kangin grabbed Leeteuk’s hands after a few seconds Leeteuk’s hand leaving his. “If you got that job offer, would you do something for me?”
“I’ll try my best to repay you. What is it that you want me to do?” Leeteuk sounded a bit worried, he was sure that Kangin won’t ask anything impossible, but still…
“I’ll tell you when you have the job in your hand.”
“Yeobseyo? Kangin-ssi, I got the job!” Leeteuk just arrived at the train station when Kangin called him.
“I can see that.”
“You can see me?” Leeteuk looked around him. “Are you here?”
Leeteuk looked around him again. Nope, he couldn’t see Kangin anywhere. “Where are you then?”
“Right in front of you.”
Leeteuk turned around to see Kangin on the other side of the railway. “Oh, I can see you now.” He waved at Kangin.
Kangin blushed a little as his eyes met Leeteuk’s. “Leeteuk-ssi?” He said in the phone.
“Remember about what I said before?”
Leeteuk nodded his head.
“Now wait for the train to come.” Kangin flipped close his handset.
Leeteuk was wondering what Kangin was planning to do. About a minute later, the train arrived and stop in front of them. Leeteuk received a message from Kangin. ‘Don’t get on the train yet. Just wait there.’
And so Eeteuk waited there. When the train started to move and disappear from his line of vision, Leeteuk saw Kangin, still standing at the other side, holding a bouquet of red roses in his hand.
Kangin pointed to his handset. Eeteuk got the idea and held his phone next to his ear.
“Eeteuk-ssi, would you go out with me?”
Leeteuk's dimple was visible on his face. “Of course I would.”
And then they got on the next train to go to their very first date….
